
AAPA's Educational Scholarships
Each Spring AAPA awards to its members educational grants in various categories. The categories and awards for 2011-2012 are as follows:
1. Scholarship for professional certification exam(CLA/CP, RP and/or TBLS) or for paralegal training to be used toward payment of tuition for classes taken to obtain a paralegal degree or certificate, award up to $325.00; and
2. Scholarship for cost of attendance of five AAPA CLE luncheons of your choice (approx. $100.00 value).
Some Rules/Restrictions for Scholarship Applications:
A. Applicant must be a current Voting, Associate or Student member of AAPA (as of May 10, 2011).
B. One application per applicant. Applicants may apply for scholarships in more than one category.
C. Applicant must provide a written essay on a topic listed in the application.
D. The winner of the first scholarship category must submit proof of payment of tuition/CLE registration fees in order to receive award disbursement. Vouchers will be issued to the winner of the three AAPA CLE luncheons.
The application period is April 19 - May 10, 2011.
All applications must be postmarked by May 10, 2011 in order to be considered by the Scholarship Program Committee. Winners will be announced at the June membership luncheon.
Be sure to review the full list of Rules/Restrictions printed on the current Scholarship Application. Any application that does not meet the requirements as stated in the application will not be considered. Awarding of any scholarship is at the discretion of the Scholarship Program Committee and the Board of Directors.
